Usage examples
Linking a group of IP-cameras featuring Ethernet and SHDSL interfaces to the network over Sigrand commutator
Usage example description Purpose: linking various IP-cameras to information line over different interfaces. The cameras are linked to the Ethernet PoE and SHDSL PoDSL modular interfaces of the SG-17AM Sigrand DSLAM. Up to 4 modules in different combinations may be installed on a single DSLAM tub. The SG-17R DSLAM tub is linked to information line over gigabit or optical Ethernet interface. Traffic management is carried out by means of VLAN. One arbitrary IP-camera and one SIgrand IP-camera Ipcam-20PE/Ipcam-04PEN are linked via Ethernet interfaces. Remote IP-camera Sigrand Ipcam-20PD/Ipcam-04PDN is linked via SG-17R SHDSL module. Remote arbitrary IP-camera is linked via SG-17BT SHDSL modem, which transits remote power for further linking using PoE.

Branched linking of IP-cameras using Sigrand equipment
Usage example description Purpose: linking distributed IP cameras to the information line over different interfaces. Special T-shaped SHDSL regenerators are used to establish video surveillance networks along trunk systems. These regenerators help to receive remote power supply from the SHDSL module installed on SG-17R. The regenerators function as offsets for further linking of SG-17AM DSLAMs, routers or SG-17R-based bridges. The regenerator may be set off over Ethernet or SHDSL interfaces. An arbitrary remote IP-camera is linked upp through SG-17BT SHDSL modem, which completes the remote power transition for PoE-based connection. The transfer rate on the remote-connection line reaches 15296 kbit/s over single pair. A group of Sigrand IP-cameras is linked up over Sigrand DSLAM using SHDSL or Ethernet connections. Several DSLAMs may be installed along single trunk. Each DSLAM allows up to 16 IP-cameras. Locally powered SG-17R routers may be used instead of regenerators. The SG-17AM DSLAM is linked to information line over copper gigabit or optical Ethernet interface. SG-17R router, if used instead of DSLAM, through additional modules may feature telephones, PBXs, sensors, controllers, WiFi devices.
